The aim of the ForAn research network is to increase the participation of German practitioners in European security research projects. To this end, the network aims to collect research needs from practitioners. In addition, a workshop program provides interested parties with comprehensive advice and support in writing their project proposals. By participating in a dedicated mentoring program, experienced practitioners pass on their knowledge to newcomers to European security research. The network addresses all areas of European security research and is organized and managed by the participating parties. Universities, research institutions and businesses also benefit from the network’s activities by lending support towards identifying suitable practitioners with experience in security research for joint project proposals.
